Responsibilities- Create connections with community employers to identify and develop job opportunities for individuals receiving services.
- Develop resumes, prepare and accompany individuals to job interviews, assist in filling out applications, and communicate candidate qualifications to employers.
- Communicate with each person assigned to the job coach caseload at least weekly and document the communication.
- Conduct the primary job development activities for the program.
- Maintain case records in the electronic medical record system within 24 hours of service delivery as required by licensing and funding bodies.
- Coordinate communication with parents, case managers, and other agencies serving the individuals.
- Maintain good work habits regarding attendance, punctuality, appearance, and effective relationships with co‑workers, VR and LME/MCO staff, employers, and individuals.
- Provide job development and intensive training activities per approved service, work/service plan, and work schedule.
- Accompany individuals to their community‑based employment sites to provide on‑the‑job training as needed.
- Analyze job duties and tasks and complete thorough job task analyses.
- High School diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of two years experience working with adults with disabilities (preferred).
- Knowledge of labor market and community services agencies; skills in task analysis, systemic job training, counseling, advocacy, and supported employment (preferred).
- Valid North Carolina driver’s license, clean driving record, and active insurance.
- Reliable transportation required to serve the community‑based program.
- Full‑time, Monday‑Friday with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.
- Travel throughout Lumberton, NC and surrounding areas.
- Competitive salary: $75,000.00‑$.
