SSRCE is excited to fill two full-time Teacher Assistant positions at Dr. J.C. Wickwire Academy starting September 1, 2026.

This role offers the chance to work closely with students, assisting with behavior management and personal care tasks. The ideal candidate will possess a background in special education and demonstrated commitment to equity in education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with student personal care activities

• Implement effective behavior management under guidance

• Aid students with mobility and physical challenges

• Record observations and document student progress

• Collaborate with teachers to support learning outcomes

Requirements:

• Minimum high school completion

• Two-year education-related program completion

• Must hold current First Aid and CPR certifications

• Experience with assistive technologies is a plus

• Ability to obtain a Criminal Record/Vulnerable Sector Check
