Since 2001, Tiller has partnered with clients across the telecommunications, infrastructure, and energy sectors, providing engineering expertise on projects that strengthen communities throughout Atlantic Canada.
As the company continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer who is eager to take on technically challenging work, mentor others, and play an influential role in shaping projects from concept through completion.
- Lead structural analysis and design for projects across the telecommunications, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
- Conduct structural inspections, field investigations, and condition assessments.
- Work directly with clients, contractors, and project teams to develop safe, practical, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Review the work of engineers and designers to ensure technical excellence and quality.
- Evaluate existing structures and recommend solutions to improve structural performance and integrity.
- Support conceptual design, feasibility studies, project planning, and cost estimating.
- Utilize structural analysis and engineering software to deliver efficient, high-quality designs.
- Maintain project documentation in accordance with Tiller''s Quality Management System.
- Contribute to project delivery through technical leadership and project coordination.
- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
- Approximately 15-20 years of structural engineering experience.
- Strong knowledge of structural design principles, Canadian codes, and engineering best practices.
- Experience performing structural inspections and field assessments.
- Proficiency with structural analysis software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to solve complex engineering problems independently while mentoring and supporting others.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
