Emergency Department Registered Nurse Position

Join Fishermen's Memorial Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This full-time role requires assessing and coordinating patient care within a multidisciplinary team.
In this essential role, you will report directly to the Health Services Manager and contribute significantly to the Collaborative Practice Model. As an RN, your responsibilities will include planning, implementing, and evaluating both direct and indirect patient care, ensuring that every patient's experience is centered on safety and compassion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and develop care plans for patients

• Supervise Licensed Practical Nurses and unregulated team members

• Provide safe, ethical, and compassionate care

• Relieve in the Shift Supervisor position when needed

• Incorporate Core Competencies and Values into daily practice
Requirements:

• Graduate from an approved School of Nursing

• Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing

• One year of recent emergency nursing experience

• Current CPR certification required

• Advanced certifications in nursing procedures preferred
