Description and ResponsibilitiesOpen Sky’s Acquired Brain Injury programs serve adults with acquired brain injury and physical or developmental disabilities referred by the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission. These programs provide individualized services to help participants live independently in their own apartments. Services include finding accessible housing, coordinating healthcare, supervising PCAs, and arranging transportation when needed.
The Residential Counselor provides guidance, support, and performs various levels of activities of daily living. By implementing procedures that ensure the health, safety, and well‑being of individuals, counselors help people live healthy, productive, and independent lives. Counselors are strong advocates, believe in the power of community, and acknowledge the importance of community integration.
SalaryUSD $20.00/hr.
OtherKey Responsibilities
- Assist in developing individualized, person-centered treatment plans and play a lead role in daily implementation plans.
- Assist individuals in accessing and/or providing transportation.
- Review and complete all required documentation.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, required.
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record, required.
- Reliability, willingness to learn, and openness to new opportunities.
