Location: Aughnacloy House, Lurgan
Pay: £12.21 per hour (includes enhanced bank holiday rate)
Job Type: Full-time
Shifts: Days – 3 × 12‑hour shifts (Mon–Sun)
Hours: 36 hrs per week, 7 am – 7 pm
Annual Leave: 5.6 weeks pro‑rata
Closing Date: Friday 13 March 2026 (The Company reserves the right to close the job early)

We are looking for a Full‑Time Catering Assistant to join our Aughnacloy team. The position is for 36 hours per week and you will be working 3 × 12‑hour shifts between Monday to Sunday. The working hours will be between 7 am to 7 pm.
You will help provide support to the Kitchen Supervisor in preparation and cooking of food for elderly residents.
Sponsorship is not available for this role.
Duties- Preparation and cooking of meals.
- Stock ordering.
- Ensure hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
- Maintain up to date working knowledge of all kitchen duties.
- Record food/equipment temperatures.
- Accurate record keeping adhering to company guidelines and legislation requirements.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions.
- Complete all paperwork accurately.
- Communicate regularly with the line manager.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as laid down by the company.
- Adhere to all Health and Safety guidelines.
- Ensure the confidentiality of residents, colleagues and the company at all times.
- Work as part of a team.
- Provide a quality service at all times.
Whilst the above is an outline of the duties you will be required to carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required.
Essential Criteria- Minimum of 1 year kitchen experience to include basic food preparation and temperature control.
- Experience working within a hospital or nursing home environment.
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
