Accounts Payable Assistant – Luton
Fixed Term – 6 month contract.
Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm.
We are looking for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join Arjo’s Finance team in Luton. Your role will involve accurate day‑to‑day administration support and ensuring supplier accounts, invoices and queries are managed efficiently.
About the roleReporting to the Accounts Payable Manager, you will support the Accounts Payable team with a range of administrative and finance‑related tasks, including processing invoices, reconciling supplier statements, managing vendor accounts and responding to internal and external queries by phone and email.
Key responsibilities- Provide accurate administrative support to the Accounts Payable team.
- Manage your own vendor accounts, including invoice processing and supplier statement reconciliations.
- Support the timely and accurate resolution of internal and external stakeholder queries.
- Build positive working relationships with teams across the business.
- Assist with the expense management system and related administration.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all finance administration.
We are looking for someone who is personable, articulate and confident communicating with a range of stakeholders. You will be proactive, solution‑focused and willing to learn, with strong numerical skills and a natural willingness to help others.
Qualifications and skills- Good numerical skills and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills.
- Good communication and listening skills.
- General PC literacy and confidence using systems.
- A diplomatic and professional approach when dealing with queries.
- A flexible, adaptable attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
