Work:
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands‑on experience.
- Accounts Preparation:
Assist in double-entry bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, trial balance preparation, control accounts, and drafting financial statements for SMEs - Tax Compliance:
Support the preparation of VAT returns, PAYE calculations, Self-Assessment tax returns, and basic Corporate Tax (CT600) computations - Audit Support:
Participate in external audit engagements, performing vouching, sample testing, stock count verifications, and maintaining clear working paper files - Client & Software Systems:
Utilize cloud accounting software (Xero, Quick Books, Sage) and Microsoft Excel to input data, resolve queries, and communicate professionally with clients.

- Handle data and digital technology in line with cyber and data security requirements, using data securely and safely, including backing up data.
