PURPOSE AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented People Administrator to join our People Team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week) for a 12-month fixed-term contract
. This role is critical to ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality People administration, reducing operational risk, and enabling the wider People Team to focus on strategic and advisory priorities during a period of growth and systems transition.

The People Administrator will take ownership of core administrative activity across recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, People systems, compliance, and cross-functional tasks (including regular Net Suite administration) to ensure the “brilliant basics” are delivered accurately and on time.

This role supports increasing operational demands across recruitment, payroll transition activity, People systems administration, compliance, and project delivery. The People Administrator will provide consistent operational delivery, reduce risk across payroll and reporting, and enable the People Team to operate at the right strategic level as the business continues to grow.

Key accountabilities of the role:

Payroll & Benefits Administration

  • Provide payroll administration support
  • Support monthly payroll processes, ensuring data integrity, timely inputs, and resolution of queries
  • Assist with associated benefits administration and payroll-related documentation

People Systems Administration

  • Administer People data across multiple People systems, ensuring records are accurate, consistent, and up to date.
  • Support the development and maintenance of automated processes within systems to drive future efficiencies and reduce manual administration.

Recruitment & Onboarding Administration

Manage end-to-end recruitment administration, including:

  • Preparing and issuing offers and contracts
  • Coordinating onboarding and documentation
  • Completing right-to-work checks and ensuring compliant record keeping
  • Scheduling interviews and supporting recruitment coordination
  • Supporting associated system updates, including maintaining active roles and candidate records
  • Sending documentation such as PPA communications (where applicable)

People Operations & Project Administration

Provide administrative support for People processes and paperwork including:

  • Pay reviews and salary changes
  • Bonus administration support
  • Project-related

Compliance & GDPR

  • Support GDPR compliance activity, including auditing People folders and ensuring documentation is stored, retained, and managed appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in line with policy and legal requirements.

General People Administration

  • Provide general administrative and ad hoc support to the People Team, ensuring responsive, structured, and accurate delivery during peak periods

WORKING PATTERN

Up to 20 hours per week
, part-time

Ideally spread across the working week to provide daily continuity (e.g.,
10:00–14:00, Monday–Friday
)

12-month fixed-term contract
, supporting transition and stabilisation across systems and operational workload

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Essential

  • Proven experience in a People/HR administration role (or equivalent administrative role with high attention to detail).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams and deadlines.
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail, particularly with data and documentation.
  • Confidence working with systems and managing information across multiple platforms.
  • A clear understanding of confidentiality and data protection requirements.

Desirable

  • Experience supporting payroll administration and/or working with payroll providers/systems (e.g., ADP, Staffology).
  • Experience of HR/People systems administration.
  • Familiarity with Net Suite (or similar finance/invoicing systems)

Salary between £26,000 - £30,000 pro rata for PT
