School Business Manager

West Wirral - £35,000-£ hours per week

36 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on School Business Manager to join a busy primary school supporting the day-to-day business and operational functions.

This is a highly visible role, based predominantly on site at the school, working closely with the Headteacher, staff, parents and the wider school community. The role will suit someone who is organised, confident dealing with people and comfortable managing a varied workload in a busy school environment.

• Managing nursery fees and payments, including reconciliation
• Invoicing
• Overseeing wraparound care administration and payments
• Managing payments and administration for after school clubs
• Responding to parent queries and resolving issues efficiently
• Supporting the school's financial administration and reconciliation processes
• Working closely with the Headteacher and school leadership team
• Managing day-to-day operational and administrative matters
• Ensuring accurate records, payments and processes are maintained
• Providing a visible and approachable presence within the school
• Some administrative and processing work can be supported by the Head Office team, but the successful candidate will need to be visible and accessible within the school and confident dealing directly with parents and staff.

• Has previous experience in a School Business Manager, Business Manager, Finance Manager or similar operational role
• Ideally has experience working within a school, education or public-sector environment
• Is confident managing payments, reconciliations and financial administration
