Vehicle Technician

Our client, a reputable main dealership in Luton, is seeking a highly skilled Vehicle Technician to join their modern, fully equipped workshop. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Vehicle technicians to enhance their career within a well-established dealership that values technical expertise, ongoing training, and employee development.

Competitive basic salary ranging from £32,500 to £45,000, supplemented with performance-based bonus

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:00am – 1:00pm

Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

Conduct servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles
Diagnose faults accurately, focusing on mechanical and electrical systems
Complete work to manufacturer standards, ensuring vehicles are safe and reliable
Road test vehicles and perform final quality checks before handover
Maintain detailed records of all repairs and diagnostics
Participate regularly in manufacturer-led training to stay current with industry developments

Requirements of a Vehicle Technician:

Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent
Proven experience working within a dealership or independent workshop environment
Strong diagnostic and technical skills, with a focus on quality workmanship

Experience with electric vehicles, hybrid systems, or vans is desirable but not essential – training will be provided
Full UK driving licence
Commitment to ongoing professional development
