About the Role
Our client is a well-established automotive business with a busy bodyshop in Luton, and they are currently looking for an experienced MET / Panel Technician to join their growing team.
This role will involve a combination of mechanical, electrical and trim (MET) work alongside vehicle body and panel repairs, helping to return accident-damaged vehicles to their pre-accident condition.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled technician with experience across both MET and panel work, looking for competitive hourly rates, long-term stability and the opportunity to develop their career within a professional bodyshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out MET and panel repairs on a range of accident-damaged vehicles
* Remove and refit mechanical, electrical and trim components
* Repair, replace and align damaged body panels
* Carry out stripping and refitting work as required
* Assess vehicle damage and determine appropriate repair methods
* Carry out welding and structural repairs where required
* Work closely with other bodyshop technicians throughout the repair process
* Ensure all repairs are completed safely and to a high standard
* Complete repairs in line with manufacturer and industry standards
* Accurately complete job cards and repair documentation
Requirements
* Proven experience as an MET Technician, Panel Technician, Panel Beater or Bodyshop Technician
* Experience across both MET and panel repair work
* Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair techniques
* Experience working with accident-damaged vehicles
* Good understanding of vehicle structures and repair methods
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Relevant automotive/bodyshop qualifications are preferred
* Full UK Driving Licence
