Residential House Manager – Kensington

Base pay range: £50,000–£55,000. Full‑time, associate seniority.

Location:

Kensington, London.

Essential Requirements: previous private house experience, strong communication skills, “hands‑on”, adaptable, pet friendly.

Accommodation: private one‑bedroom suite within the main house providing its own entrance, kitchen, sitting room and bathroom.

Schedule:

Monday‑Friday, variable after‑hours and weekend work as needed for events.

• Day‑to‑day household management and operational oversight.
• Administrative oversight including budgeting and expense tracking.
• Supervision, coordination and staffing of the kitchen, housekeeping and ancillary staff.
• Inventory management, supply ordering and ensuring property maintenance to the highest standard.
• Planning and executing events ranging from intimate gatherings of ~14 guests to large‑scale receptions of up to 120 attendees, sourcing temporary staff as required.
• Technical proficiency in overseeing systems such as CCTV, security controls and Sonos.
• Hands‑on front‑of‑house support, meal service and butler/valet service when needed to ensure guests receive an impeccable reception.

• Excellent communication skills, discretion and sensitivity in handling formal occasions and personal household matters.
• Confident leadership capability and willingness to be “hands‑on”.
• Ability to navigate both formal occasions and personal household matters with sensitivity, confidence and adaptability.
