Acoustic Logging Team Leader

At Affinity Water, we're committed to delivering high-quality water services while working towards the industry's ambitious target of reducing leakage by 50% by 2050. We're now looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and people-focused Acoustic Logging Team Leader to join our Leakage Team and play a key role in helping us achieve this goal.

This is a predominantly field-based leadership role within our Customer Delivery Directorate, supporting Acoustic Logging Technicians across the Central Region.

Reporting to the Business Lead for Active Leakage Control (ALC), you will work closely with the Acoustic Logging Manager and Operational Leakage Analyst to support the successful delivery of acoustic logging activities across the network.

Leading a team of up to 15 technicians, you'll be responsible for ensuring safe, effective and efficient deployment of acoustic logging equipment used to identify hidden leaks within the water distribution network. You'll spend much of your time in the field, supporting your team, conducting audits, promoting best practice and ensuring operational standards are maintained.

This is a hands-on operational leadership role that requires flexibility, regular travel across the region and a passion for developing people and driving performance.

• Lead and support a team of up to 15 Acoustic Logging Technicians

• Manage attendance, performance, safety compliance and employee wellbeing

• Conduct regular health and safety inspections, audits and reporting

• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company standards and procedures

• Identify training requirements and support ongoing development of team members

• Coordinate the logistics of people, vehicles and equipment across the region

• Support the implementation and trial of new technologies, equipment and operational processes

• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider Leakage Team to achieve business objectives

• Drive high standards of service delivery, performance and customer outcomes

We're seeking a proactive leader who enjoys working in an operational environment and is passionate about supporting teams to succeed.

• Experience leading or supervising operational field-based teams

• Strong people management and coaching skills

• A commitment to health, safety and wellbeing

• Excellent organisational and planning abilities

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• The ability to work independently and make informed decisions in the field

• A full UK driving licence

• Experience with in leakage, utilities, water networks or a related operational environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

This role requires extensive travel across the Affinity Water Central Region. As an operational, field-based position, flexibility is essential, and daily finish times may vary depending on business and operational requirements.
