Labour Base Solutions are a Rail, Mechanical and Construction Labour Supply company, specializing in providing experienced professionals to major infrastructure and industrial projects across Europe.
We are currently recruiting an experienced Rail Site Manager for one of our main Client.
About the role- Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day site management
- Manage health, safety, and environmental matters
- Prepare and manage safety documentation (WPP/TBRA, etc.)
- Control and issue relevant permits to work
- Monitor and verify competencies on site
- Maintain the site diary, issue work records, and document any additional work
- Prepare progress reports
- Liaise with the Project Quantity Surveyor regarding commercial issues
- Manage labour, plant, and materials on site, in coordination with the Foreman
- Prepare timesheets and plant records
- Effectively manage subcontractors, prioritising health, safety, and quality
- Communicate with clients, designers, and construction consultants
- Develop an understanding of project programmes and the sequence of construction activities
- Carry out site measurements as required
- Work closely with operational teams
- Remain focused and accurate under pressure and tight timescales
- Think logically and laterally
- Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills
- Willingness to travel nationwide and work away from home when required.
- Proven experience in rail or civil supervisory or management roles
- Strong leadership abilities, able to motivate and inspire teams
- Capability to write and deliver safety briefings to site staff, and to accurately interpret drawings
- Understanding of contract programme requirements
- Familiarity with WPP/EMP/CPP/TBs
- Ability to work clearly and accurately under pressure and tight deadlines
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices
- Minimum three years’ experience in construction
- Level 6 NVQ in Construction Management, CSCS Manager’s Card
