Site Manager – £140m Residential Development | Luton

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager to join a growing and financially strong main contractor delivering a landmark £140m residential development in Luton, comprising 292 new homes and a Community Hub.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with an impressive pipeline of secured work and genuine long-term career prospects. The company currently turns over £160m-£180m per year and is forecast to grow to £250m next year. With around 40-50 Site Managers already in the business and plans to recruit a further 20 over the next 12 months, you'll be joining a company that is investing heavily in its future.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior Site Manager/Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing a section of works, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating subcontractors.

* Ensuring works are delivered in line with the construction programme.

* Maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

* Carrying out quality inspections and ensuring works meet specification.

* Managing labour, materials and site logistics.

* Chairing subcontractor meetings and coordinating upcoming works.

* Identifying and resolving construction issues to minimise programme delays.

* Producing site reports and working closely with the wider project team.

* Driving high standards of workmanship through to successful handover.

About You

* Previous experience as a Site Manager for a main contractor.

* Residential new build experience is highly desirable.

* Experience delivering housing or apartment developments.

* Strong leadership and communication skills.

* Good understanding of construction programmes and quality management.

* SMSTS, CSCS Card and First Aid at Work are essential.
