A regional principal contractor based in Hertfordshire is recruiting for an experienced Site Manager to join its established team. The business delivers new build and refurbishment projects up to £15 million and is known for its family-owned stability, long-standing client relationships and a supportive environment that encourages progression and long-term career development.

This position is managing the construction of an £8.5 million steel frame industrial new build in Luton, commencing August 2026 and completing in 2027. The contractor is seeking a Site Manager with strong steel frame and new build experience who can take ownership of a complex structure from groundworks through to final finishes.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 7 years site management experience.

• Proven experience delivering steel frame new build schemes.

• SMSTS and First Aid qualified.

• Strong Health & Safety knowledge, including modern risk management requirements.

• Background in JCT Design & Build projects or the ability to adapt quickly.

• Ability to manage a project from initial groundworks through to high-quality finishes.
