Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Contract Surveyor to lead commercial management activities on a major construction scheme, ensuring robust cost control and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to manage complex packages effectively.

Client OverviewOur client is a well-established construction organisation delivering technically demanding projects across multiple sectors, with a consistent focus on quality and integrity.
Responsibilities- Take ownership of commercial and contractual management across multiple work packages
- Prepare and negotiate subcontract agreements, variations, and claims
- Produce detailed cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Monitor and control project costs against budget, identifying potential risks and opportunities
- Oversee valuations, progress payments, and final account settlements
- Ensure strict compliance with contractual terms and relevant legislation
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors within the commercial team
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Contract Surveyor, ideally in a senior capacity
- Proven track record in managing financial and contractual aspects of large-scale projects
- Working knowledge of NEC and JCT contract forms
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on risk management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
