Contract:

Permanent, full-time, immediate start available Senior Quantity Surveyor Highways & Infrastructure An established highways and infrastructure contractor, part of a larger UK infrastructure group, is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team on a permanent basis, covering North and East London. You'll work across a diverse portfolio of highway maintenance and improvement schemes worth approximately £15 million per year.

Following three years of strong organic growth, the business has built a stable, high-performing commercial team delivering long-term highway maintenance contracts across the capital. This is a hybrid role offering flexibility alongside site-based commercial work.

Key Responsibilities Carrying out on-site measurements Verifying subcontractor requisitions Managing subcontract accounts, including payment applications Providing commercial support and guidance to site teams Maintaining accurate records and preparing monthly cost and value reports (CVRs) Supporting preparation, authorisation, and submission of project variations Authorising contracts, subcontracts, and material/plant orders Maximising cash flow through effective measurement, valuation, invoicing, and supplier payment management Valuing subcontractor works and certifying interim and final payments Experience Required HNC or BSc in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related discipline Strong working knowledge of NEC or ICC contracts Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Proven track record delivering commercial outcomes on highways, infrastructure, highways maintenance, or utilities projects Excellent commercial awareness, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Why Apply Permanent role with a stable, growing commercial team within a larger infrastructure group Work on long-term, high-value highway maintenance contracts across London Hybrid working Immediate start available
