Construction, Engineering & Trades Registered Building Inspector Shropshire

Position: Construction, Engineering & Trades Registered Building Inspector Shropshire Up to £50.00 / hour
Opus People Solutions are hiring for a Registered Building Inspector within a Local Authority client based in Shropshire.

The role is 37 hours per week, offering hybrid working with a mixture of home working and site attendance, and £50 per hour umbrella, with a contract length of 6 months+.Please see a high-level overview of what the position involves below:
* Undertaking plan checking and plan assessments for a range of building projects
* Carrying out site inspections to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and associated legislation
* Working across domestic, commercial and more complex developments
* Providing Building Control advice to applicants, agents and stakeholders
* Supporting enforcement activities relating to the Building Act 1984, Building Regulations, dangerous structures and demolitions
* Maintaining accurate records and ensuring statutory deadlines are met
* Working collaboratively within a high-performing Building Control team

The ideal candidate will have experience with:
* Registered Building Inspector status with the Building Safety Regulator at a minimum Class 2D level
* Full membership of MRICS, MCABE or MCIOB
* Extensive Building Regulations knowledge and practical application
* Full plan checking and site inspection experience
* Building Control experience across a range of construction projects
* Strong communication, organisational and IT skills
