We are seeking a committed SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and forward‑thinking Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Luton. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people with social, emotional, and mental health needs re‑engage with their learning.
Responsibilities- Delivering one‑to‑one and small‑group SEMH support
- Assisting with emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Helping to deliver engaging, practical learning activities
- Building strong, trusted relationships with pupils
- Supporting behaviour plans and targeted interventions
- Patient, resilient, and confident working with challenging behaviour
- Experience supporting SEMH needs or working within a PRU (desirable but not essential)
- Can build rapport quickly while maintaining clear boundaries
- Ability to commute to Luton
- Passionate about the education and training sector and supporting vulnerable young people
- Remains calm and positive under pressure
- Weekly pay between £460 - £500
