What you’ll be doing
Deliver engaging French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience welcomed).
Develop students’ confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing French.
Promote an appreciation of French language and culture through interactive and engaging learning experiences.
Plan purposeful and well-structured lessons that stretch and support all learners.
Track and assess student progress, using data to inform teaching and raise achievement.
Create a positive and focused classroom environment with high expectations for behaviour.
Contribute to curriculum development and the wider work of the Modern Foreign Languages department.
Support enrichment opportunities such as language clubs, cultural events, exchange programmes, or educational trips.
What the school is looking for
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience teaching French in a secondary setting.
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for language learning.
The ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
Confident classroom management and clear communication skills.
A reflective practitioner with a commitment to ongoing development.
