Teaching Assistant L3 - Orchard

Overview

The Orchard, based at Wigmore Primary, is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Specialist Learning Assistant to support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). You will join a team of professionals committed to inclusion and helping all students achieve the best possible future outcomes. The role requires a caring, patient and understanding approach, with a genuine desire to meet the individual needs of students and the flexibility to respond to differing needs.

Experience of working with young people with SEMH and effective interpersonal skills are essential, as is the ability to contribute positively to this forward-thinking provision.

• Help develop and support a newly formed SEMH provision
• Collaborate with the team to support children
• Work one-to-one with students within the SEMH provision at Wigmore Primary
• Provide support to individual students through planned and adapted activities
• Assist with students’ personal, behavioural and social development through a bespoke curriculum
• Act as a positive role model to students, making a lasting impact on their lives
