About the RoleThe successful candidate will teach Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and challenging lessons that develop students’ confidence, problem-solving abilities, and mathematical understanding.
Students follow a broad and ambitious curriculum covering number, algebra, geometry, statistics, probability, and higher-level mathematical reasoning. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations while encouraging them to think critically, apply their knowledge, and develop resilience when tackling complex problems.
You will also contribute to the wider life of the department through maths clubs, intervention programmes, competitions, enrichment activities, and initiatives designed to inspire students beyond the classroom.
Key Responsibilities- Teach Mathematics across KS3, KS4, and KS5
- Deliver engaging, well-planned, and differentiated lessons
- Prepare students for GCSE and A-Level Mathematics examinations
- Develop students’ reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Monitor progress and provide high-quality feedback
- Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
- Support maths intervention and enrichment programmes
- Encourage confidence, independence, and a positive attitude towards mathematics

Candidate RequirementsEssential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level
- Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable
- Experience teaching A-Level or Further Mathematics
- Experience supporting intervention programmes or maths enrichment
- Ability to inspire and challenge students of all abilities
- A proven track record of delivering strong student outcomes
