A high-performing Secondary School in Luton is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented French Teacher to join its successful Modern Foreign Languages department from September. The successful candidate will teach French across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Key Stage 5, delivering engaging and intellectually stimulating lessons that inspire students to become confident linguists.

Students develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through a broad curriculum that explores French language, literature, history, and the culture of the Francophone world. You will prepare students for GCSE and A-Level French examinations while encouraging them to communicate fluently, think independently, and develop a lifelong enthusiasm for language learning.

You will also contribute to the wider life of the department by supporting language clubs, cultural events, educational visits, exchange opportunities, and enrichment activities that broaden students' understanding of the world beyond the classroom.

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Experience teaching French at secondary level

• Ability to teach KS3 and KS4 confidently

• Strong subject knowledge of the French language and Francophone culture

• Excellent classroom management and communication skills

Desirable

• Experience teaching A-Level French

• Ability to teach a second language such as Spanish

• Experience organising language enrichment activities or overseas visits

• A proven track record of delivering outstanding student outcomes
