Salary: £27,673 - £30,020 actual salary
- Monday - Thursday: 7:45am - 3:45pm
- Friday: 7:45am - 3:15pm
- Lunch: 30 minutes
Forever Education is working with a successful and forward-thinking secondary school in Luton that is looking to appoint an experienced and proactive Attendance Officer to join its established pastoral and attendance team. You must have previous Attendance Officer experience working in a School to be considered for this role.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people and understands the important role that excellent attendance and punctuality play in a student's education.
The Role- Monitoring daily attendance and punctuality and identifying areas of concern.
- Maintaining accurate attendance records and ensuring information is kept up to date.
- Analysing attendance data to identify patterns, trends and individual pupils requiring additional support.
- Communicating regularly with parents and carers regarding attendance and punctuality.
- Managing challenging or sensitive conversations professionally and confidently.
- Working closely with teaching, pastoral and senior leadership staff to support pupils with attendance concerns.
- Supporting strategies and interventions designed to improve whole-school attendance.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and families while maintaining high expectations.
- Completing relevant attendance administration and producing reports when required.
The school are looking for someone who is organised, resilient and confident, with excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
- Strong administrative experience and excellent attention to detail.
- Previous experience working in a School as an Attendance Officer
- Experience working with and interpreting data.
- The ability to identify trends and use information to support attendance improvement strategies.
- Confidence communicating with parents and carers, including handling difficult or challenging conversations.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- A proactive approach with the ability to use your own initiative and problem-solve.
- A genuine interest in supporting young people and improving educational outcomes.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a busy and supportive team.
Previous school attendance experience is essential for this role
