A secondary school in Luton is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join their English Department on a permanent, full-time basis.

– The Role
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and reflective classroom practitioner who is committed to delivering high-quality English lessons and helping students develop a genuine enthusiasm for the subject.
You will be responsible for:
Planning and delivering engaging, challenging and effective English lessons
Setting high expectations for student achievement and behaviour
Supporting students to develop their knowledge, understanding and confidence in English
Assessing students' work and using outcomes to inform future planning
Using data effectively to support target setting and student progress
Creating an inclusive learning environment where all students are encouraged to succeed
Working collaboratively with colleagues and sharing effective teaching practice
Contributing to the wider development and success of the English Department
