JOB DESCRIPTION – HISTORY TEACHER

* History Teacher – KS3, KS4 and KS5

* MPS/UPS £34,069 – £52,835 – England Pay Scale

* January 2027 start

* Permanent, full-time position employed directly by the school

* Teach History across KS3, GCSE and A Level

* Deliver engaging and challenging History lessons

* Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment and student progress

* Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Humanities faculty

History has a particularly strong profile within the school, with over half of students choosing to study the subject  successful candidate will also teach History at A Level.

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION – HISTORY TEACHER

* UK QTS or QTLS is essential

* Strong History subject knowledge

* Confident teaching History across KS3, KS4 and KS5

* Strong classroom practitioner with high expectations

* Passionate about History and able to inspire students

* Committed to achieving strong outcomes for students

* Able to work collaboratively within a large Humanities faculty
