There is an opportunity to join the Team that delivers one Leonardo’s most innovative product ranges and to support the early lifecycle and customer engagement Team.

This Bid Engineering Lead will be working across various defence products and technologies for the Electronic Warfare business division. We are looking for an experienced engineering manager to work alongside a team of Bid Managers to produce technically compliant solutions and compelling proposals for a wide range of domestic and export customers. The PEL is responsible for providing teams with clear expectations of the engineering outcomes, ensuring that they operate consistently within the Policies & Procedures and to foster the improvement goals defined by the Engineering Function.

The Bid Engineering Lead is the primary technical point of contact for bids, responsible for leading a team of engineers and subject matter experts to produce engineering delivery schedules, cost estimates, and input into technical bid documentation in the creation of Bid/Tender deliverables and estimation.

The candidate will need to bring an ability to organise work packages together with team members, be a good communicator both upwards and downwards and be prepared to review and replan when issues arise during a complex bid programme.
