Opportunity

Leonardo offers a range of Apprenticeships from 2‑5 years across a variety of STEM and business routes, providing paid training and on‑the‑job learning to develop practical skills and knowledge that set you on a strong career path.

As an apprentice you will attend college full‑time during the first year for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering and Manufacturing Support Technologies. Afterward you will join Leonardo for rotational placements within engineering support functions, building a portfolio of work that showcases your competency as a technician.

During your apprenticeship you will:

• Grow your knowledge of an engineering business and the role of a technician through an integrated Project Team.
• Develop practical engineering skills and understand key processes and technologies.
• Support early‑career activities and act as a STEM ambassador in schools, colleges and universities.

• Minimum 5 GCSEs at grades 4–9 (A*‑C) or equivalent, including English, Maths and Science plus two additional subjects.

Salary: £17,850 per annum.

Due to the nature of this role you will be required to work on‑site full‑time.

This role is subject to pre‑employment screening under the UK Government’s Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS). Additional Personnel Security Controls such as National Security Vetting (NSV) may apply, which could include the Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV).
