** Quality Engineer
** to join our Combat Air team in Luton. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with programme and project teams to ensure delivery of high-quality products and continuous improvement across key programmes.

** Your Impact
** As a Quality Engineer, you will work as part of an Integrated Project Team (IPT), collaborating across Operations, Engineering, and other key functions to:
* Provide guidance and support on all Quality Assurance and Quality Control matters.
* Contribute to the delivery of compliant, high-performance products that meet cost and safety requirements.
* Develop and align Project Assurance Plans (PAPs) with programme risks, opportunities, and improvement priorities.
* Help drive achievement of Leonardo Production System (LPS) quality goals, including KPIs related to Quality Notifications, MRBs, FRBs, etc.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives across production, engineering, and quality workflows.
* Participate in key meetings across departments to ensure alignment on quality standards and objectives.
* Oversee and support the timely processing of concessions and production permits.
* Assist in preparing reports and quality data for programme and functional leaders.
* Support efforts to reduce Non-Conformance costs and improve root cause resolution.
** What you’ll bring:
*** Education or experience in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a similarly complex or regulated industry.
* Familiarity with quality frameworks such as AS9100 / ISO
9001 and continuous improvement methods.
* Working knowledge of quality tools like Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), Process Mapping, Verification, Pattern Fault Lifecycle, and First Article Inspection.
* Background in a development environment is highly advantageous
* Strong analytical thinking and the ability to turn data into clear, actionable insights.
* A collaborative mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Experience engaging with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters.
