Requisition: 14208 B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer- UMT
- Luton
- Adhere to Bombardier’s Maintenance Organization Procedures, among which the relevant parts of the MOE and applicable work instructions.
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
- Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required.
- Train, coach and support other employees.
- Respond to customer queries & requests.
- Perform complete engine runs as required.
- Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems.
- Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard.
- Release line maintenance tasks that are performed by the engineer or under their supervision for which they are trained and authorized.
- Perform maintenance at off-site locations and be responsible for day-to-day station admin requirements.
- Assist when providing time & cost estimates.
- Report to the Operations Manager.
- Use own initiative to resolve difficult situations.
- Hold an EASA/CAA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License: B1, B2 and
C. - Have additional Business Jet Line Maintenance experience within the last 3 to 5 years.
- Have experience working on Bombardier Business Jet aircraft types (Challenger, Global, Learjet).
- Have demonstrated ability to train other employees.
- Have Part-147 approved type training on your license and held the approval for at least 2 years.
- Be or have been engine run qualified – preferred.
- Have good knowledge of the requirements of Appendix I to Part-66.
- Have good knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations.
- Have at least 6 months of relevant aircraft or maintenance experience in any consecutive 2-year period.
- Have knowledge of and practice human factors, human performance and limitations.
- Have knowledge of EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
- Be current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training).
- Have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
- Have strong communication skills in both written and verbal forms on individual task and/or aircraft status.
- Have ability to use information systems (computer skills).
