Contract Manufacturing Engineer
12-Month Contract Outside IR35 £35.00–£45.00 per hour DOE Immediate Start
We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading engineering business operating within the Aerospace / Space sector on an initial 12-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to support the introduction of new products, improve manufacturing processes, and work on technically challenging projects within a highly regulated, precision engineering environment.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and improving manufacturing methods, supporting production, and ensuring products are manufactured efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities for the appointed Contract Manufacturing Engineer
Develop and implement manufacturing processes and work instructions.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and production readiness activities.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation and process routings.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, cost and delivery.
Resolve manufacturing issues and provide technical support to production.
Work closely with Design, Quality, Supply Chain and Production teams.
Ensure manufacturing processes comply with customer and industry standards.
Experience Required for the selected Contract Manufacturing Engineer
Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within the Aerospace, Space or other highly regulated engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining, fabrication, welding, assembly and production engineering.
Experience supporting NPI and process improvement projects.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
