This role involves working directly with Store Operations Directors and Senior Leadership, using analysis to shape which stores receive investment and where refurbishments deliver the best returns. This isn’t back-office number crunching—your insight drives genuine commercial decisions across a substantial store network. Hybrid working is genuinely supported. Part-qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) finance professionals are welcomed.
Responsibilities- Own lease portfolio management including renewals, break clauses, and renegotiations, ensuring accurate monthly reporting that supports strategic store planning cycles
- Manage capital expenditure tracking and forecasting aligned to group reporting timelines, providing clear visibility of investment spend across the store estate
- Conduct detailed financial analysis on store closures, relocations, and new openings, building robust business cases for informed decision-making on the retail portfolio
- Deliver comprehensive ROI analysis on the annual store refurbishment programme, evaluating which investments deliver the strongest returns and shaping future refit strategy
- Produce monthly Store Operating Performance reporting, consolidating key metrics and commentary to support operational management and strategic planning
- Present store investment activity and lease updates to Investment Committees and senior leadership teams, including consolidated reporting for group-level review
- Drive monthly financial reporting and variance analysis across store-related cost lines including business rates, service charges, insurance, and operational expenses, highlighting savings opportunities and addressing budget variances
- Maintain and enhance Power
BI reporting dashboards focused on store performance metrics, ensuring data integrity and driving adoption across the business - Support ad hoc store investment appraisals and scenario modelling with commercially sound financial analysis that influences where capital is deployed across the retail network
- Part-qualified (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) with strong analytical foundations
- Retail, FMCG, or commercial finance experience preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (essential)
- Oracle/SAP/Power
BI experience advantageous - Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders
- Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Detail-focused with strong communication skills
£37,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience). Luton with hybrid working flexibility. Professional qualification support & clear progression. Exposure to Investment Committees and Executive leadership. High-performing, agile finance team environment.
