The RoleAs Financial Accountant – Flight Operations, you’ll report to the Finance Manager – Flight Operations and support all accounting activities for Fuel, Crew, and Disruption costs. You’ll deliver month-end activities, provide insightful analysis, and partner with Operations Finance and the wider business to ensure stakeholders have accurate and timely information.
You’ll play a key role in:
- Supporting ownership of current costs (actuals) from a profit and loss and balance sheet perspective
- Delivering internal and external financial reporting
- Enhancing the financial control framework
- Driving and monitoring cost‑saving initiatives
- Collaborating with Group Financial Reporting at key periods
Requirements of the Role
What we’re looking for- Qualified accountant with strong analytical skills and experience in variance analysis
- Ability to communicate and challenge effectively at all levels
- Proven experience interpreting accounting complexity across balance sheet, cash flow, and P&L
- High attention to detail and ability to summarise complex information for non-financial stakeholders
- Self‑starter with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Excellent Excel skills (up to basic macros);
Planning Analytics experience preferred - Strong team player who can build effective relationships across functions

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
