Head of Finance - FP&A

Package: £100,000-£125,000, bonus (30%), this is a fixed term contract 9-12 months

I am currently partnering with a leading FTSE 250 Multi-site Retail brand to source a high‑profile, senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) leader.

This is a massive multi‑billion pound portfolio offering deep, direct visibility up to Executive Board level. The business is entering a major phase of growth and financial modernization. As a result, they need a change champion to look forward, spearhead finance transformation, and embed artificial intelligence into their analytical ecosystem.

• FP&A Strategy & Execution
  :
  Lead the corporate budgeting, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis. You will be responsible for a large cost base £800m+.
• Transformation & AI Adoption
  :
  Integrate advanced AI tools and predictive modelling into everyday routines.
• Change Management
  :
  Standardise legacy reporting to free up capacity for strategic business partnering.
• Team Leadership
  :
  Line‑manage, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of 3 direct reports.
• Governance & Commercial Insight
  :
  Manage central corporate budgets and provide proactive financial insights.

• Core FP&A Expertise
  :
  Extensive experience leading a dedicated FP&A environment.
• Transformation Experience
  :
  Proven track record of guiding finance teams through structural change or automation.
• Senior Stakeholder Management
  :
  Deep experience engaging and presenting to senior business leaders.
• Professional Credentials
  :
  Qualified Accountant holding a valid ACA, ACCA, or CIMA status.
• Desirable:
  Experience and exposure with Payroll analysis.
