Location: Luton, UK

Salary: Up to £21 per hour (depending on experience)

Type: Locum, Full-Time, Ongoing

We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Mental Health Team in Luton. This full-time, ongoing locum role allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of adults experiencing mental health challenges, while working within a supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary setting.

What You Will Do

Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessments and interventions for adults within the acute mental health unit.

Use assessment and evaluation tools based on the Model of Human Occupation to inform care planning.

Deliver recovery-focused, client-centred interventions supporting self‑care, productivity, and leisure goals.

Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning, including positive and timely discharge processes.

Enhance and further develop the Occupational Therapy programme on the ward and within the community.

Deliver one‑to‑one interventions and group work, supporting access to community resources for successful discharge.

Participate in a structured induction programme and receive regular managerial and professional supervision.

Requirements

A valid driving licence is required to support community‑based work.
