The RoleAs a Community Care Worker, you will provide practical and emotional support to individuals with a range of care needs, helping them maintain their independence while delivering high standards of care in their own homes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality personal care, including washing, bathing, dressing, grooming and personal hygiene.
- Support service users with medication in line with care plans and company procedures.
- Assist with meal preparation, nutrition and hydration according to individual preferences and dietary requirements.
- Help with mobility, moving and handling using appropriate equipment safely.
- Carry out light household duties such as cleaning and laundry.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, encouraging social interaction and wellbeing.
- Accompany service users to appointments and within the community where required.
- Support individuals in maintaining contact with family and friends.
- Promote independence, dignity, choice and respect at all times.
- Maintain accurate records and report any changes in a service user's health or wellbeing to the Care Coordinator.
- Build positive relationships with service users, families and healthcare professionals.
Essential
- 0–2 years' experience in a healthcare or care worker role (applications from those new to care are also welcomed if they demonstrate the right values).
- Caring, compassionate and empathetic nature.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.

- Previous voluntary or community care experience.
- Knowledge of person-centred care and safeguarding principles.
