Bereavement Counselling Volunteer - Flexible Hours

Our Bereavement, listening and talking therapies team work with patients and family members to offer the opportunity to explore and express complex thoughts and emotions around the experience of dealing with life‑limiting illness and loss.

We are looking for volunteers who can provide Level 3 counselling support (NICE) guidance to patients, carers, family members and close friends, from diagnosis, during treatment and following bereavement. This may involve one-to-one support in the client’s home in nursing/care homes, or over the telephone or via a virtual platform.

Without the time our volunteers give to support all areas of our work, we couldn’t help all the families who need us. We have a wide range of volunteer roles with varying time commitments to suit people in different circumstances.
