Band 7 | £47,810 – £54,710 per year (pro rata) | Full or part time | Permanent
What we’re looking forWe’re looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Specialist Pharmacist to join our expanding Pharmacy team within Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. You’ll be based primarily at Langley Green Hospital (Crawley) or Meadowfield Hospital (Worthing), with the opportunity to work across sites in West Sussex.
This role is ideal for a pharmacist with a passion for improving patient outcomes in mental health and learning disability services. You’ll provide clinical expertise, promote safe and effective medicines use, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patients receive high-quality care.

You’ll provide a clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service to inpatient and rehabilitation teams across West Sussex.
Key responsibilities- Providing expert advice on safe, effective and evidence-based medicines use
- Supporting MDTs with complex clinical decisions and treatment planning
- Conducting medicines reconciliation, audits and reviews
- Delivering education and training for staff and patients
- Supporting safe transitions between primary and secondary care
You’ll be a confident communicator who enjoys patient-facing work and collaboration with colleagues across professions. We welcome applications from those with general pharmacy experience who are keen to develop a career in mental health.
