Role Summary

The HR Advisor role plays a vital part in providing a wide range of support to our services across the whole Trust. We are looking for an HR Advisor who can provide support to our leaders on topics including sickness, recruitment, employee relations, and workforce planning, and who can support with difficult situations or conversations, ask questions and offer sound advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of a caseload of employee relation cases, providing guidance and support to managers to ensure timely resolution in line with policies and procedures.
  • Support managers to prepare letters and be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely and appropriate records of meetings are maintained.
  • Attend absence, disciplinary and grievance hearings, adhering to Trust policy, seeking advice and escalating more complex cases where appropriate. Liaise with HRBPs to ensure that cases are progressed in a timely manner.
  • Coach, support and advise managers during employment investigations, providing complex and sensitive advice to managers on the procedural or legal implications of their decisions, and to staff on procedural processes.
  • Promote inclusive working environments and support the equality, diversity and inclusion programme through role‑modeling EEC values and behaviours.
  • Analyse monthly absence data and work with HRBPs and operational areas to ensure that absence and wellbeing meetings are undertaken and staff supported in accordance with the Trusts Absence Management Policy.
  • Work with HRBPs to support the operational areas in the delivery of their localised performance improvement, ED&I and staff survey action plans.
