Network Deployment Engineer

Position Overview

As a member of the Thrive Network Deploymentteam, you willbe responsible forthedeploymentofnetwork infrastructure and services to

Thrive’snew and existing customers.

You will be expected to utilize

Thrive’sprimary networking solutionsof

Fortinetand Palo Altofirewalls, Cisco,Merakiand Extremeswitchingand Merakiand Ruckuswirelesstooptimizeand secure customer environments.

Work will entail product evaluations,upgrade implementations, network expansion, networkmonitoringand documentation.

Additionally, you willbe expected tofollow established standards while alsocontributingtoboth new and establishedprocessimprovement.

Responsibilities

• Ability to handle diverse networking environments in a wide cross-section of business clients

• Analyze and document an unfamiliar network environment

• Coordinate with relevant teams in all aspects related to equipment installation, servicetestingand problem resolution

• Deployandactivatenetwork solutions and internet circuits

• Troubleshootnetworking level incidents and provide relevant information toescalation resources

• Work through the project process to drive deployments to a successful outcome.

• Completedeploymentactivitiesworkduringscheduled maintenance windows.

• Transitiondeployed service offeringsto support team with all relevant documentationrequiredfor long term maintenance.

• Escalate when necessary toseniorengineer for further review/troubleshooting.

• Communicate directly with customersregardingproject plans, potentialimpactand testing procedures.

• Demonstrate excellent time management skills toaccomplishlarge projects.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual witha team-first attitude

• 1-3years Networking and Firewall experience

• Proficient with IPV4 protocols, VPN, TCP/IPand Next Generation Firewalls

• Knowledge and experience with Fortinet/Palo Alto/Meraki/Cisco/Ruckus/Extremeproducts

• Experience with Visiorequired

• Knowledge of monitoring tools (NAble,Solarwinds) preferred

• Excellent problem solver; able to prioritize and coordinate between multiple projects

• Experience troubleshooting network configuration and hardware issues

• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education Requirement

• Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Degreeor equivalent work experience

• Fortinet NSE4 or higher certification preferred
