As a Tool Hire Driver/Assistant at Jewson, you will play a key role in ensuring

customers receive safe, well-maintained equipment and excellent service.

As part of the role, you willbe required to drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver and collect customer orders, so a full UK driving licence is essential.

This is a full-time role working Monday-Friday 07:00-16:30 or 7:30-17:00, with the requirement of working 1 in 3 Saturdays from 08:00-12:00.

What You’llBe Doing
  • Driving a 3.5-tonne tail-lift vehicle, delivering and collecting hire tools, towers and plant.
  • When delivering and collecting plant, the role will also involve towing a trailer on a regular basis.
  • Ideally, the successful candidate will have previous experience in this type of role, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
  • The candidate will require the appropriate Driver Card to operate the vehicle and trailer in line with VOSA/DVSA tachograph requirements.
  • Assist at the Hire Counter, supporting both customers and colleagues.
  • Working within the workshop, testing and preparing equipment to ensure our tools are safe, clean and presentable for our next customers to hire.
  • General housekeeping and maintaining a clean, safe and organised Hire area will also form part of the role.
