We are currently recruiting for a Mechanic / A Licensed Mechanic to join our established and reputable Engineering team at our Luton base.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a team of skilled Engineers and Mechanics, delivering exceptional scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance services to our prestigious clientele.

Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Working Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern (40 hours).
THE ROLEThe Mechanic will be actively involved in line and base maintenance activities, as required in accordance with company procedures and under Part 145, and as delegated by the Licensed Engineers and Engineering Managers.
As part of a wider team, the Mechanic is responsible for conducting and maintaining high standards of aircraft maintenance and to undertake such maintenance in a safe and timely manner as appropriate to the role, and in accordance with approved data, MOE/work instructions and regulations.
The mechanic will ensure that any enquiries from customers / crew are dealt with professionally and either deal with the request directly and /or liaise with the relevant internal departments to ensure that these are managed through to completion, providing regular feedback and acting whennecessaryas first point of contact.
The mechanic will actively be involved in both line and base maintenance and will have a pro‑active and flexible approach and will at times be expected to work away from base.
THE HOURSThe successful applicant must be flexible and professional. The Luton base operates 7 days per week, 365 days per year. Opening and closing hours are based on the customer’s requirements.
The average working week is 40 hours, on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. The hours of work are 07:00 – 19:00. The standard shift is 11 ½ hours, with a 30-minute unpaid break (total 12 hours).
Initial Company Induction training will require a period working Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly, as the needs of the business require.
On occasions, alternative working hours may be required to support the business needs. Travel to other locations may also be required.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATEThe successful candidate will;
- Experience in Corporate/Private Aviation.
- Good communication skills as well as strong computer and administration skills (general working knowledge of systems such as Microsoft office) which are essential. Sheet metal experience would also be beneficial but not essential as this is a primarily mechanical role.
- An organised, adaptable and flexible approach with strong interpersonal skills and a diplomatic approach.
- Enthusiastic, willing to learn and maintain a professional appearance and manner even in sometimes difficult circumstances.
- Demanding role; the successful candidate should be calm, professional and flexible under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills combined with courtesy and integrity.
- A full UK driving license is essential, and a 5-year checkable history to obtain an airport .
£35,991‑ £46,751 basic (dependent on experience and if the candidate holds an A Licence) plus £3,500 per annum shift allowance per annum.
