You'll keep the care home maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene — creating a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors.## What you'll do
* Clean residents' rooms and communal areas to a high standard, always respecting residents' privacy, preferences and dignity.
* Support a homely, respectful and welcoming environment.
* Follow cleaning schedules, COSHH regulations and infection control protocols, using cleaning products and equipment safely and in line with training.
* Maintain cleanliness across bedrooms, lounges, bathrooms and kitchens, and assist with deep cleaning as part of regular infection control.
* Dispose of waste in line with infection control procedures.
* Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly, and work collaboratively with colleagues to meet residents' needs.
* Complete required training including infection control and health & safety, and take part in supervisions and team meetings.## What you'll need
* Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and infection control
* Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
* A respectful, reliable and compassionate attitude
* Attention to detail and high standards of hygiene
* Enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK### Desirable
* Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic role
* Knowledge of COSHH and infection control in care settings
