Trustee with experience of governance - Volunteer
We are looking for people to help guide our successful charity as we look beyond our 25th anniversary. Do you have trustee or equivalent experience and a good grasp of charity governance? If so, please get in touch.
What difference will you make?Trustees play an important role in our charity supporting brain injury survivors. We would like trustees to use their existing skills and expertise to help us in areas where we have skills gaps.
What are we looking for?We are particularly keen to hear from people who have expertise in strategy planning, governance, HR, law or social care, but all knowledge and skills are welcomed and valued.
We want our trustees, staff and volunteers to represent the diversity of the people we support. We encourage disabled and not yet disabled people from all ages, ethnicities, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds to consider taking on this leadership role. If you think you have something to offer, please do get in touch. Support and training will be provided for those with no prior trustee or committee experience.
Headway Luton is affiliated to Headway UK which has a new trustee network which aims to support and train trustees of all Headway groups.
Our CEO is due to retire in the next year and we are seeking trustees who can help support us through a transitional period in our staff structure and service. We are also seeking trustees who have some experience of charity governance and who may want to take the lead in ensuring the board is up-to-date in its duties and responsibilities.
