Salary: £50k to £60k. Leonardo UK operates a grade‑based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. OverviewThe Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP) is rapidly growing and is undergoing mobilisation against a new international operating model and continuation on a national contract. This role involves managing a medium‑sized project that is part of a larger parent project. The Project Manager will own budget and schedule, deliver against them and conduct typical project management activities such as monthly reporting and maintenance of key artefacts.
They will also manage key stakeholder networks within Leonardo UK and the wider national and international enterprise, including stakeholders at partners in the UK, Italy, and Japan.

- Maintain key project management artefacts.
- Manage stakeholder networks within Leonardo UK, the wider national and international enterprise, and partner organisations in the UK, Italy, and Japan.
- Detailed understanding of GCAP; knowledge of the G2E domain beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and build relationships nationally and internationally.
- Recognised and demonstrated ability in their respective function along with a sound understanding of other programme functions (typically from the Capability, Engineering or Programme functions).
- Ability to exercise appropriate initiative and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
- Demonstrable strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills: strong abilities in data analysis, issue resolution, and cross‑functional collaboration.
- Leadership: ability to inspire and influence consortium managers/partners at all levels.
- Intercultural communication: essential for working in a multicultural environment, promoting dialogue and understanding between different cultures.
- Empathy and active listening: ability to create a positive and inclusive work environment.
