Job Description

Turner & Townsend is recruiting an Associate Cost Manager / Commercial Manager for its prestigious infrastructure-based projects.

As an experienced individual, you will bring a wealth of cost management experience to a new and dynamic environment. You should be comfortable engaging in challenging conversations with a consultative approach, bringing out the best in your team and clients.

Main Purpose of Role

Establish friendly, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and other parties involved in the projects and programmes we support.
Administer contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
Proactively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring timely applications.
Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
Manage contract changes effectively, ensuring projects remain within governance and best practice.
Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
Provide sound commercial knowledge and support to all stakeholders.
Ensure final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
Lead people and commissions as needed.

Qualifications

Proven cost / commercial management experience
Preferably MRICS qualification
Experience with NEC3 contracts (particularly Option C – Target Cost)
Post-contract administration experience
Experience on major programmes and projects
Experience on infrastructure projects (rail, air, marine/ports, utilities, highways)
Experience leading and managing teams
