The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Own the travel management company (TMC) and preferred-supplier processes, including performance management against SLAs and scorecards; support contract renegotiation and RFP or re-sourcing efforts to transition providers when performance or value no longer meet organizational needs, by preparing requirements, analysis and recommendations and leading the travel workstream, with strategy, sourcing decisions and contract approval resting with the Senior Director, Finance Operations and Procurement
  • Administer and maintain the global travel policy in line with industry practice and in consultation with internal stakeholders; recommend policy changes and escape exceptions that fall outside policy
  • Work with the data and insights team to produce travel spend and traveler reporting, and use the analysis to identify trends, exceptions, compliance gaps and savings opportunities
  • Serve as the operational point of contact for traveler safety, security and travel disruption escalations, working with Security and duty-of-care partners
  • Maintain traveler communications, guidance and training, including content on Inside CFA Institute
  • Identify shortcomings in travel and card processes, systems and procedures; plan and deliver improvements, including adoption of new booking platform capabilities, with guidance from the Senior Director and project or program managers
  • Partner with Procurement, Treasury, Expense Management and Events to align travel, expense and card processes and reduce duplication
Credit Card Program Management
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the corporate credit card program, including responding to card application requests from new joiners, uploading new user requests to the card portal, and promptly removing users who have left the organization
  • Review and respond to individual card credit limit change requests, which are often travel related and urgent, within established policy; escalte requests outside policy or authority
  • Respond to cardholder and stakeholder queries and resolve complex card issues; escalte matters of the highest complexity or consequence
  • Maintain card program procedures, documentation and controls, and coordinate with Treasury, which owns the monthly cardholder audit, country credit limits with banks, and provider selection (RFP) and changes
  • Support the implementation of card and travel system or process changes and ensure changes are effectively embedded
