Practice Manager

Practice Manager post at Westwood Clinic, a small GP practice run independently within the Dr Laliwala and Partners group. The role covers the day-to-day running of the practice, including staff management, HR records, budgets, payroll, premises and CQC compliance. The post-holder also works alongside the practice managers at Nightingale and Ailsworth Medical Centres. Practice management experience and experience of working within the NHS are essential.

• Day-to-day management of Westwood Clinic, ensuring it runs safely, efficiently and within regulatory requirements
• Overseeing recruitment, induction, staff development and appraisals
• Managing patient complaints, including investigation, response and learning
• Maintaining HR records and ensuring employment processes and policies are followed
• Supporting, mentoring and managing practice staff
• Working with the administration and clinical teams on the daily running of the practice
• Overseeing practice finances, financial monitoring and budget management
• Managing staffing budgets and supporting workforce planning
• Overseeing payroll and submitting accurate information within required timescales
• Managing premises, including health and safety, maintenance and compliance
• Overseeing CQC activity and maintaining compliance
• Managing the NHS GP contract, claims, QOF returns and NHS England annual reviews
